Lead SAI Technology's technical strategy, architecture, engineering execution, and product reliability across a growing portfolio of operational platforms.
About SAI Technology
SAI Technology builds and operates software systems for real businesses with real operational complexity. We are building a portfolio of platforms across logistics, procurement, mobility, property operations, AI-enabled workflow automation, and managed enterprise systems.
Our current and emerging products include Transveo, a freight forwarding and logistics operating system; Operon, a procurement, approvals, and supplier workflow platform; Swift Transport, mobility and ticketing infrastructure for transport operators; Casa360, property management and service operations software; and Nexus, our AI-powered operating layer for internal workflows and organizational intelligence.
We are looking for a CTO who can take company-level ownership of the technical strategy, engineering operating model, and production reliability behind this portfolio.
The Role
This is a hands-on executive role for someone who wants meaningful technical ownership. You will be responsible for the technical direction of SAI Technology: architecture, engineering execution, product reliability, delivery standards, developer workflow, security posture, infrastructure, AI tooling, and the long-term technical roadmap.
At this stage, the role is primarily equity-led to start. We are looking for someone who understands the risk and upside of joining early, can operate with discipline before every resource is in place, and wants to help build a serious technology company over the long term. Cash compensation, vesting, and milestone-based adjustments will be discussed transparently.
What You Will Own
- Technical leadership across Transveo, Operon, Swift Transport, Casa360, Nexus, and future SAI Technology products
- Architecture decisions for frontend, backend, infrastructure, data, integrations, observability, and security
- Product reliability, uptime, release quality, incident handling, and operational resilience
- Engineering delivery rhythm, code quality, testing standards, documentation, and review discipline
- Hiring, mentoring, and managing engineers as the team grows
- Technical due diligence for new product opportunities, client projects, partnerships, and acquisitions
- Infrastructure strategy across cloud, self-hosted systems, CI/CD, monitoring, backups, and cost control
- AI-assisted engineering workflows and practical AI features where they improve real business operations
- Clear communication with leadership, clients, partners, and non-technical stakeholders
What Success Looks Like
- SAI Technology’s products have a clear technical roadmap and disciplined execution model
- SAI Technology has clear technical ownership across product, infrastructure, and engineering decisions
- Production systems are observable, secure, documented, and easier to maintain
- Product teams can ship faster without increasing operational risk
- Client and partner conversations have credible technical leadership behind them
- Engineering decisions support revenue growth, not just technical elegance
Who You Are
- You have strong full-stack engineering judgment and can still work hands-on when needed
- You have led or meaningfully shaped production systems used by real customers
- You understand architecture, infrastructure, product delivery, security, and technical operations
- You can move between strategy and implementation without losing discipline
- You are comfortable with early-stage ambiguity, limited resources, and high ownership
- You communicate clearly with both engineers and business stakeholders
- You care about building durable systems that survive real operational pressure
- You are excited by a portfolio company model, not only a single-app startup
Useful Experience
Experience in any of these areas would be valuable:
- B2B SaaS, enterprise software, logistics, procurement, mobility, property operations, fintech, or workflow automation
- TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js, Astro, NestJS, Postgres, Supabase, Redis, queues, and API design
- Cloud infrastructure, Docker, CI/CD, observability, backups, security reviews, and cost optimization
- AI-assisted products, internal AI agents, document automation, retrieval systems, or workflow intelligence
- Building or leading small engineering teams in fast-moving environments
Compensation And Commitment
This is an executive leadership opportunity with compensation primarily weighted toward equity at the start. The exact structure will depend on the candidate’s level of commitment, operating role, track record, and the responsibility they are prepared to take on.
We are open to a phased start if there is strong alignment, but this role is intended for someone who can become the technical owner of the company, not a passive advisor.
